Alice Tilley is an emerging visual artist that lives and works at her studio on a cropping and sheep farm in South Australia. It is Alice’s intention through her paintings and artistic process to embrace and document being present in the simple and ordinary moments of daily life.

Alice’s art practice is largely informed by direct observations and experiences including her garden, rural landscape, and family’s role as farmers and land custodians. Predominately a figurative landscape and still life oil painter, Alice’s paintings are characterised by an expressive play between light and colour, with lively brush strokes and marks translating into her unique, richly layered style.

Upon receiving a scholarship for outstanding secondary students at Adelaide Central School of Art Alice attended and completed a Certificate IV in Visual Art in 2000. Painting sporadically as she explored other creative outlets and career options, it was not until 2015 as a new stay-at-home Mum that Alice reignited her interest and a subsequent career as a painter. Currently practising full-time at her studio on a farm near Kapunda, South Australia, Alice is represented by galleries in SA and QLD, and regularly exhibits in group and solo exhibitions.
